My preferred image has always involved the figurative form, interpreted in differing media.

Drawing and painting from life is a key factor, even when the human form is not there , animal, land and seascapes are all subject matter to the inquisitive artistic eye.

From the experimental mono prints in the past few years there has now evolved  an all consuming interest in printmaking, specialising in Aquatint and Solar Plate etching techniques.
Often prints contain extra collage or hand finishing to enrich texture and depth.

Photography is used in much the same way as sketching.
To collate information in a creative way as a starting point or at times it becomes the dominating medium of the process.
Colour is then used to introduce a vibrant and playful element to what sometimes can be a sombre.

The unique alchemy of each piece is the challenge and ultimate delight of every artist.
